Today I’ll be writing about two pieces of my closet that have served me well in terms of flexibility, because of the fact that they’re simple.
The first, a basic white spaghetti strap crop top (this one is from Tobi.com). This works great with any high-waisted bottoms you choose to wear it with, or even under low-cut dresses or overalls. Super simple, super cute, and super clean. Those tanks and basics you have in your drawer for years? Days when it’s too hot to wear anything else? This is guaranteed to be one.
Second, I’ve had this nude blush pencil skirt for a long time (when I mistakenly thought working in an office in downtown financial district would require some form of business casual wear & instead the norm was t-shirts and jeans). You can find a similar and affordable one here on ASOS. I was ecstatic when I found this skirt and I have the same one in black – but it is all about fit especially when it doesn’t stretch. Of course, this one is perfect when I’m on my slimmer size, but the color is on point – lightly feminine but not overly so. Flats to the office or pair it with heels, and you’re good for an outing with your girls.
