Happy New Year!

2016 has been a wild and emotional ride of change, growth, and personal development. It was filled with tears and laughter and practically every emotion in-between. I was probably overly dramatic at times, but I feel a lot and deeply. Thus, I’ll share some hard-learned lessons along the way.

Life is about making mistakes. Learn from them and don’t make them again. The first time you get back on your feet is going to be the most difficult, but all other times will be easier because you’ve done it before.

Try to learn about true self. Everyone has an image of themselves in their mind, and it might not always be accurate. Figure out what actually works for you, not just what you think will or what you hope would work for you or base it on what others say will work for you.

Do everything with intent. Work hard, play hard. Be present.

Cherish and cultivate meaningful relationships. The people who truly care about you will never give up on you – no matter what you’re going through and how hard you push them away.

Optimism and pessimism are viral. State of mind is the most powerful weapon to you and to others around you.

Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want. Most want to see others succeed and will help if they are able to.

Time is precious and limited. Choose wisely who you spend and give time to. Respect others’ time as you would want them to respect yours.

And remember… give love and you will receive it/it will respond in kind. Make your life full of it.
